night leaves four people dead. good afternoon. i'm tori campbell. we're learning more details about a deadly four-hour stretch in oakland. investigators say the latest incident involves two young men shot to death on 72nd avenue near international boulevard, just after 6:00 this morning. lorraine blanco spoke to the family of one of those men. >> reporter: screams filled the scene of a violent scene that ended with two men in the minivan. family members say one of the victims is 23-year-old robert dowell. he lived just a few doors down from the shooting. >> he got a night job. all he do is work and come home. >> reporter: the men were sitting in the vehicle and men on foot, they got into a fight. >> there was some type of interaction where both victims were shot. >> reporter: veronica lee is heartbroken. she knew both of them. >> they often sit in the car and talk. they were young boys, young men. they don't cause any trouble or anything. they've never r been disrespectful to me or -- never been disrespectful to me or anything else. >> reporter: in the last 24 hours, four people hav

campbell. it's thursday, september 27th. we begin with an overnight police raid in downtown san francisco. officers moved in on an occupy camp at the federal reserve bank on market street. christien kafton joins us live with video you won't see anywhere else. good morning. >> reporter: yeah, now that the start is starting to come up, you can see this former site of the occupy protest at the foot of market 101 market. you can see it surrounded by a chain-link fence. right across the street you might see there is a small encampment of some of the occupiers returning to the area. police were out here overnight. they were out here this morning to -- to watch the site. they said they gave them every chance to avoid arrest. >> we gave them opportunity to vacate. some people did leave on their own. the other people who remained behind did get arrested for illegal lodging. >> reporter: san francisco police moved about 11:30 last night. last night was rough after police cleared the camp and seized their possessions. >> they took everybody's possessions, dogs, animals, whatever they had. i can't ev

a grievance. >>> now at 11:00, hundreds of people in sacramento will soon be out of a job as campbell soup company shuts the door on its oldest factory. it's cutting a total of 700 jobs. the company says demand for soup is dropping and so is the bottom line. the sacramento factory will close in phases before shutting down completely next july. >>> the santa clara valley water district will hold a public meeting this afternoon over the anderson dam seismic retrofit project. they need to fix the dam because it might rupture in the event of a large earthquake. if the dam broke, it could flood an area from morgan hill to san jose. voters will have to decide on a tax measure this november ballot to fund the project that would start in 2016. today's meeting starts at 4:00 at jackson elementary school in morgan hill. >>> a major earthquake on the other side of the globe could trigger the bay area's two biggest faults, the hayward and the san andreas. seismologists at uc berkeley and the usgs found that the magnitude 8.6 quake that hit off the coast of sumatra in april -- large quakes trigger smal

morning. i'm tori campbell. it's monday, october 1st. >>> the search continues this morning for two missing men off the san mateo coast. lorraine blanco near hedgen point where the men disappeared where their boat capsized yesterday. good morning, lorraine. >> reporter: good morning, tori. i just got off the boat with the coast gurd. they say they have a cutter boat off the coast. the helicopter is climbing past us. an 18-foot stripper capsized around 10:30 -- i should say striper, capsized around 10:30, a little over 20 miles from hoof man bay. one of the missing men is pin you ming of san francisco. >> he's a good brother, good husband, good son to the family. >> reporter: we're told the two other men were taken to the hospital with hypothermia. the coast guard said fog made visibility difficult but they are mott sure what made the boat overturn. the men were not wearing life jackets. a coast guard went into the air a few minutes ago. during the live shot, we're gonna get closer and see if we can see them in the water searching for the men. lorraine blanco, ktvu channel 2 news. >>
campbell. it's tuesday october 2nd. we're following developing news of an early-morning fire in vallejo. ktvu channel reporter allie rasmus is live with the damage and information on how two people escaped the flames. good morning, allie. >> reporter: good morning. this fire started at:00 in the morning. now four hours later, investigators are going through the home trying to pinpoint what happened. firefighters are dousing the walls with water to make sure nothing flares up again. two people got out safely. more on that in a minute. first we want to show you the through. you can get a sense of how large this house is -- 3800 square feet. the size hans configuration of the house were both challenges for firefighters putting out this fire. so is the weather. it's warmer than unusual in vallejo and it is -- as it is in most pats. they had to bring in extra crews to relieve some of the firefighters who first responded to the fire. >> we went to three alarms on this. it -- it's a large house. it's an older house. my third alarm was to get crews on scene to help with the overall fire. >> rep
